Four People Injured in Suspected El Cajon DUI Accident

car-accident-lawyers-san-diegoWhen someone is waiting to turn left across traffic into a driveway or onto another street, that person needs to be able to trust that any oncoming motorists have clear heads and that they have not consumed alcohol or some other intoxicant.  Unfortunately, that could be what led to a suspected El Cajon DUI accident on Saturday night that injured four people and left one person in a drug-induced coma.

According to the authorities, this suspected El Cajon DUI accident occurred on Saturday night at approximately 9:15 p.m.  An unidentified man in a PT Cruiser was attempting to turn left from northbound Melrose Lane into a driveway near Royal Road.  As he did so, the vehicle was hit by an oncoming Mitsubishi SUV.  Witnesses indicated that the SUV did not have its lights on at the time of the crash.  One person was seriously injured and four people overall were transported to hospitals with injuries.  The SUV driver was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI.
